Christmas in a teensy squeensy little nutshell
The highlights being:
WOMBATS: As in real live madly munching adorable wombats, mere inches from us. They're terrible snobs - they consider themselves far above us and just gobble away merrily at the ground. Holly (2yo) patted one, and it took off for a 2 metre sprint each time she caught up with it, quite unimpressed with her efforts. Tres cute!
RED FLUEVOGS: mmmm. Yummy.
CHAMPAGNE: As in enormous amounts of it whenever possible, and ridiculously excessive amounts on xmas day and NYE. David's sister actually allowed me to cut her hair while smashed off my freckle. Great fun, turned out quite ok (yay for wavy hair).
INLAWS: and their utterly inappropriate questions like "why haven't you changed your married name?" and "how are we going to get David to lose some weight?" I laugh, and answer them honestly (and sometimes flippantly), and don't pull my punches - if you don't want/like the answer, then stop asking the question. Hehe.
SLEEPING IN: *sigh*... *joy*...
HOBART: exploring a new town is SO much fun. I glued David's face to WoW in an internet cafe and took off for a few hours of squeaky enjoyment. Included girly shops, coffee, and buying skin care stuff. Yey.
We came, we saw, we partied. It was a pretty good holiday, with no meltdowns or ugly confrontations. Nice.

Glad you like our place down here!! (of course it's the other end of the state, but....) Happy New Year!
