I've never been great at blogging for the same reason I've never been great at gardening. I have huge levels of energy and enthusiasm, which wax and wane dramatically. I actually have serious fatigue issues, have had everything from vitamin and hormonal testing through to sleep studies - nothing helps except being aware of where I'm at and managing it. A bit like the spoons theory, but with a decent stash of spoons to start off with, that I then foolishly and exuberantly throw away in handfuls *just because*.
So here I go, blogging like a maniac, and here's the 2nd post for the day. Hehe. Inconsistent but enthusiastic.
Anyways, the plans to have everything ready for Rosie when she arrives are moving along. Yes, I can't help myself, I've named one of my inanimate objects... the only other thing I've loved enough to do this to was my first spinning wheel! But this bike is so cute, and it's (partially) pink, and I've just bought these for it... the girliest of girly panniers. Weehee!
You'd have to be demented to steal these. LOL. They have little pockets and elastic inside for holding things, and plenty of smaller pockets on the outside, which is fantastic. The whole inner pannier closes shut with a drawstring (I'm assuming this will be useful if it's rainy or if you have things that might potentially get jiggled out of the top of the bag). The guy in the shop tells me I probably only have to tie one or two of the ties on for it to be secure. Nifty! So, one side for handbaggy and work stuffs, other side for a change of shoesies, socks and shirt, and probably the permanent stuff like spare light batteries, repair/puncture kit, tyre pump etc.
I've just had the most delish lunch - in honour of the lovely Beth, an afternoon breakfast. Mmm. Here's to brekky in the afternoons. One fried eggy with a piece of toast, massive serve of mushies and fried onion with some fried tomato, and steamed broccolini pan-fried in olive oil and salt. Freekin YUM. Time for a post pork-out siesta. Zzzzz.
